Medieval Religion
People think of the Middle Ages as a very religious time, the Christian Church was the most practiced religion and nearly everybody prayed all th time. Some of the most powerful men and women of the Middle Ages were
involved in the Catholic Churches. There were also many Jews throughout Europe
at the same time, and a fair amount of Muslims. In the early Middle Ages, many
people in the countryside still followed the old Greek and Roman gods.
Christians wanted everyone else to be Christian as well, so they often got into
fights with people of other faiths. Some even tried to get rid of all the Jews
living near them, so they would either convert them, kill them or run them out
of the area.
Modern Religion
Today there are at least twenty two different religions, and a choice whether to believe one of them or believe none. Ulike the medieval times people definately wouldn't kill people or make them leave their houses because of their beliefs, in Australia the most people do about it is judge one another.
